So let me start off the posts with a joke. This is a real conversation that's happened multiple times and has me concerned about the education most people have in terms of basic science.
Outsider: Oh wow, twins, how cute. A boy and a girl! I bet that's a lot of work!
Us: Yes, it's an adventure.
Outsider: Are they identical?
Us: ... um, one is a boy and one is a girl.
Outsider: Yes, but are they identical twins?
Us: (SHM)... no.
